                     Call for Papers and Participation

Objective:

The 16th International Conference on Advanced Computing and 
Communication (ADCOM 2008) seeks to bring together international 
researchers to present papers and generate discussions on current 
research and development in all aspects of IT. Special emphasis will be 
made on aspects of IT relating to society development through several 
presentations of research papers and keynote addresses.

Description:
ADCOM (International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication) 
is an important conference organized annually by Advanced Computing and 
Communication Society (ACS), in collaboration with one educational 
institution in India. Advanced Computing and Communication Society is a 
registered society founded to provide a forum to individuals and 
institutions interested in the promotion of Advanced Computing and 
Communication technologies. The sixteenth edition of ADCOM (ADCOM-2008) 
will be hosted by Department of Information Technology, MIT, Anna 
University, Chennai, during 14th -17th December 2008.

ADCOM is a major international conference in the field of Computer 
Science and Communication held annually in India. Information Society is 
facing challenges due to the complexity of its structure in terms of 
networking, middleware, peer to peer applications, ubiquitous computing, 
pervasive computing with diverse usage in commercial, personal, communal 
and public domains, posing various critical issues to be addressed and 
solved. The objective of ADCOM 2008 is to provide a forum for discussion 
about research and development in the cutting edge technologies.

The main theme of ADCOM-2008 is decided to be "Information Technology 
for the Welfare of Society".

Peer-reviewed technical paper presentation programme, short-papers, 
posters, tutorial and student paper presentation on the same related 
topics are always being planned with this conference for the students 
and research community.

Topics of interest include but not limited to the following:
