Dear Colleagues:

Building on the success of the first TCSC Doctoral Symposium, "TCSC 
Young Researchers Forum" Coordinators - Markus Lorch (IBM, Germany) and 
Srikumar Venugopal (University of Melbourne, Australia) - are again 
organising the 2nd TCSC Doctoral Symposium at CCGrid 2008. For details

All PhD students who presented their research proposal had received 
funding from the TCSC to support their travel. I am hoping that TCSC 
(depending on its budget for 2008) will be able to allocate $5000 for 
this purpose to support next year Doctoral Symposium. Please encourage 
your PhD students would have one to two years left in their candidature 
so that they have enough time to incorporate the suggestions made at the 
Symposium.
