Dear Colleagues:
Please find enclosed:
Technical Committee on Scalable Computing: Annual Report
Since my appointment to TCSC (as the first elected Chair) in Oct 2005, I
have initiated several new programs and actively pursued them with
support from volunteers around the world. The enclosed report provides
details of TCSC activities and programs. You will also be find them in
action/live by browsing the TCSC website:
http://www.ieeetcsc.org/
Highlights of TCSC activities in 2006: (1) We have sponsored 10 highly
successful conferences; 5 of them are core TCSC conferences. (2) We have
offered travel scholarship for several students attending our core
conferences. (3) The TCSC Web site on average received about 40,000 page
views a month. (4) We have created Web-based resource centers for over
10 technical areas we are pursuing and also for regional forums. (5)
Young researchers created their own Resource page and organized a
Doctoral Symposium.
I hope you will find TCSC efforts satisfactory. I welcome your comments
on how we can further improve and deliver better value for TCSC members.
Best regards
Raj
